Project Overview

The Homestead is one of Utah's most iconic resort properties — a geothermal crater resort in the Heber Valley operating continuously for over 150 years. Cadoava delivered underground utility improvements with zero disruption to hotel operations, guests, or the property's signature amenities.

The Challenge

Working on a landmark, continuously operating resort required exact coordination with property management. Utility trenching near historic structures demanded hand-digging in sensitive areas and real-time documentation of existing underground conditions that weren't reflected on available as-builts.

Scope of Work

  • Underground utility investigation and as-built documentation
  • Water and sewer lateral replacement in active resort areas
  • Phased utility installation to eliminate guest impact
  • Trench excavation by hand in proximity to historic structures
  • Backfill, compaction, and surface restoration matching historic pavement
  • Coordination with Wasatch County utility providers
